These tracks were recorded in September of 2023. I've been working on the mix and arrangements at various times through the fall and early winter. Consequently, the original concept of a bright sunny late summer day with a warm breeze flowing through my room has sort of dissolved into what is now a rather more dreary brown-grey atmosphere. There are way too many brown brick buildings in my neighborhood! The view outside the windows is now vastly different from the colorful gently undulating scene of trees and grass it was back then.

I am not sure if the music reflects this. Maybe it does. This album is a follow up to Aspects of Air, two parts of a planned trilogy of postmodern or 21st century neoclassical pieces for chamber ensemble. They are demos that represent pieces that I hope someday to have an occasion to perform live with a group of musicians. But in the meantime, this is it. Thank you for listening!
